On a Friday evening in May of 2000 Marty and I saw a commercial for a local Honda/Yamaha dealership on the TV. On Saturday we visited the shop, just looking around. By Sunday we had bought the 2000 Yahama V-Star for him and a 2000 Honda Rebel for me. We picked them up on Monday.

Marty was very happy with this bike but he always teased that it sounded like a remote control car (motorcycles are supposed to sound like a Harley). So eventually he ended up selling it and getting the Sportster in 2001. But the Yamaha was very comfortable bike to start with, and it looked real nice with the black and chrome.
