Getting Puppies

A couple years after Dixie & Harley had passed, we decided it was time to get some more. This was a big decision because Sami & Lexi were 9 and 6 years old and these would be their childhood pets that they grow up with and remember for the rest of their life. So we decided to go ahead and get one Cardigan Welsh Corgi, with the intention of getting another within the next year. To make a long boring story shorter, I called around a lot of places and finally, by pure coincidence, the excellent breeder from whom we'd gotten Dixie so many years ago, had puppies available and were releasing them to buyers that very weekend! She lives in Reston, VA but was visiting her Mom (along with all the dogs and pups) in Atlanta, GA. So I ended up driving down to Atlanta to get one... and came back with two!

I brought them home and we surprised the girls! Here is Lexi when I brought the puppies home for the first time:
