We had Papa and Gram over to our house today to celebrate Gram's birthday (which is actually on the 5th). I cooked a nice meal and made and decorated a homemade birthday cake for her. I'd been planning this book cake for quite a while so I was happy to finally have the chance to make it. She seemed to like the meal (turkey, potato casserole, mixed veggies, homemade applesauce, rolls and tea, and of course... birthday cake).
